On Wednesday September 17th, the To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) Hope Revolution Tour came to Ziggy’s Music Hall in Winston-Salem. Ziggy’s Music Hall offers a more intimate setting than PNC Music Pavillion located in Charlotte and is about the same distance from campus.
At Ziggy’s, it is easy to get close and connect with the music while the bands are performing. TWLOHA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising awareness about subjects most people avoid talking about such as suicide, depression, eating disorders, and other mental illnesses.
Chad Moses was a representative of TWLOHA at this event and spoke before the main headliner, Hawthorne Heights, performed. To Write Love On Her Arms and band merchandise was available for purchase on location throughout the night. All net proceeds that were earned from ticket sales and TWLOHA merchandise will go to help fund TWLOHA. Bands such as Senick, Famous Last Words, and Everybody Run did a great job opening the stage. The Hope Revolution Tour’s headliners were Hawthorne Heights and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was, unfortunately, unable to play due to an illness. Hawthorne Heights are celebrating their ten year anniversary on a tour entitled “The Silence in Black and White.”
