Can you guys believe it? We are at the end of November just like that! Where has this year gone? It has absolutely flown by. It is time for students to head back home for Thanksgiving break and enjoy some turkey with their families, gather around the table, and give thanks.

I interviewed some students asking where they were heading back to for Thanksgiving and what their plans were. The first student I interviewed was Alexis Robinson, a Senior, from Pomona, New Jersey. She will be heading to her Dad’s brother’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving with her grandparents, parents, little cousins, aunts, and uncle. Robinson told me how it is a big tradition for Thanksgiving to be held there and that she makes it a time to really appreciate being around her family.

The next interviewee was Mary Kirkman, a Senior, from Burlington, North Carolina who is heading to Nashville, North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Mary says her plans are to head to her mother’s house, which is exactly three hours from Catawba. She is bringing a fellow classmate, Declan Stimson, from Adelaide, Australia, to show him what Thanksgiving is all about!

The last student I interviewed was Allison Baucom, another senior, from Salisbury, North Carolina. She actually celebrated Thanksgiving this past Saturday and is heading out to Oak Island, North Carolina with her family.

We wish students a safe trip home and a Happy Thanksgiving!
