‘Pioneer’ Student Newspaper Announces: Catawba Creativity Contest!
catawbapioneerstaff November 5, 2015 0 COMMENTSAre you a writer hoping to see your work in print this year? Well, luckily for you, the Catawba Pioneer Student Newspaper is hosting the first ever Catawba Creativity Contest! Catawba students have the ability to submit creative pieces to be one of the lucky six winning works that gets posted on the Pioneer website.
Submit your best work of poetry, prose, or short fiction, and you could win a gift card! We have two separate competitions, one exclusively for poetry, and one for prose and short stories. The poetry contest is accepting entries now, and the prose and short story one starts next week! The top two writers for each contest wins a prize in addition to publication in the Pioneer, and the next runner up will get publication as well. That means that up to six individual students will get published to represent the school!
Why submit? If the free gift card, which can score you coffee on us or work as a free Christmas gift, is not enough to convince you, all works and articles on the Pioneer’s website are shareable in social media sites. What better way to convince your parents back home that you are doing well in school and deserve some extra spending money than to be able to show them, “Look! I won this school contest!”
The contest is open to any current Catawba student, and the guidelines for submission are included in the flyer image.
