Intramural sports are events that a lot of the student body looks forward to each year.  Students look forward to these events because of the competitiveness of the events. Some look at it for the simple fact of fun. A lot of people who play intramural sports are people who are active amongst the college community.

Intramural basketball started up this past Thursday, and there was quite a turn out of students to watch the teams in action and cheer them on. There were plenty of great moves and great shots being thrown up the whole night. It was a successful night of action, and there plans on being more.

Intramurals were started to allow the student body the chance to play a sport that they may have played in high school but decided not to play in college. It also allows them the chance to relive those days and be on teams with friends. Students can also be on a team with people they don’t really know and get to know them.
