Are you guys constantly connected? Do you have a headache? Need some time to relax and disconnect from social media? Consider these little tips a detox from social media.

All you have to do is let your cell phone die and not charge it until you are ready to do so. We all know how hard that can be, especially since we are part of the millennial generation. It is hard for us to put the phones down or laptops and just live in the moment or do some homework.

Another way of taking a break from social media is by leaving your cellphone at home when you go out for a nice meal with your friends or family. Trust me, the cellphone can wait. Enjoy the moment and converse with one another, you will feel so much better.

Mary Kirkman, a Senior at Catawba, says she has an iPhone and when she needs a little break she puts it on “do not disturb mode.”

There is an amazing video titled Look Up, attached at the bottom of this article. Take a moment to click on the following link. It is truly incredible all the beautiful things we miss out on when we are constantly looking down to our phones instead of living in the moment and not worrying about our latest posts on social media.

Take a moment to watch this video, I promise you will not regret it!
