Ever had a question you just weren’t sure who to ask? Or a question you’ve asked a million different people and still aren’t sure you’ve heard every side? Looking for something to do near Catawba? Want to know more about a specific place or event? Or maybe you just need somebody to confirm your suspicions about something. Maybe to dispel a myth. Whatever it may be, that’s what we are here to help with. Write the ask column!
Having trouble with something and want another opinion? Ask the column! Maybe you’re curious about something that is coming up on-campus and want to know more about it – ask the column! We are here to serve and help the community as a whole. If we do not know the answer, we will find the right people to ask. Personal problems? Friendship problems? Sure! We’re also here for advice. BUT keeping in mind – this is published. Questions asked that someone might be embarrassed by? We will not answer them. This is meant to be positive and a way to help people who may not feel comfortable asking a question.
Questions need to be emailed from your Catawba College email address to [email protected]. If it does not come from a Catawba email – it will be deleted. It will not be considered at all. However, if you email a question and it is chosen to be published? Your name will not be on. It will remain anonymous. Your identity will be held in the utmost confidence. If your question is chosen to be answered in an article – you will receive an email letting you know it is being answered. Questions will be chosen at the writer’s discretion. There will more than likely be multiple questions answered a week- it all depends on how many questions we receive.
As stated earlier, do not ask a question you would feel uncomfortable with your grandmother reading. Keep it clean and appropriate! This is not here to be a gossip column. This will not serve as a way to call people out. We are not here to serve as a way for you to be mean to anybody- take your complaints elsewhere. We are here and happy to help as long as it is positive! The time is now yours – ask away!
