The Arrowhead, Catawba’s literary arts magazine, is looking for student work to feature in their publication. Catawba’s Arrowhead is published once a semester and features student-produced prose, poetry, photographs, and visual artwork. Our literary arts magazine is a great way for students to get their creative works out for others to see and to feel a sense of accomplishment.

Students are welcome to submit their work into multiple categories; however, there are restrictions as to how many works can be submitted into each of the categories.  Students are only allowed to submit two works of prose because they tend to be longer and take up more space in the Arrowhead.  They can, however, submit up to five poems.

Additionally, some lucky students artwork will be printed on the cover! The qualifications the artwork has to meet in order for it to be on the cover is that the photo must be portrait and it must be in color. If the piece is not chosen to be on the cover, it can still be in the Arrowhead as long as it is submitted to the publication in black and white in addition to color.

For those of you who are interested in being on the Arrowhead staff, it is quite easy to do so!  Anyone that wants to be on the staff can simply sit in on one of the two meetings.  The meetings are Tuesday, March 17th 7-9pm in Study Room 6 and Thursday, March 19th 3:30-5:30pm in Study Room 2.  Both meetings are on the top floor of the library and it is okay to arrive late; however, end times are definite.

The submission deadline for students who wish to have their work featured is Wednesday, March 4th at 5:00pm.
