Last Friday, September 12th, the Artists Development Program (ADP) hosted the annual senior showcase. Usually, students in the Artists Development Program perform a free concert one Friday night per semester. However, the seniors only have to perform at the Senior Showcase. This is to encourage seniors to expand their music into the world in order to find paying jobs and local gigs that could make them a star. In fact, some of the senior artists have already had paying music gigs.

There were eight seniors this year who were going to perform at the concert. Unfortunately, Jennifer Pettigrew was on vocal rest and could not perform her songs. However, at the color splash on September 21st some of the seniors, including Jennifer Pettigrew, will be performing again as an informal final senior show.

All seven of the seniors performing at the senior showcase each sang twice with songs they wrote and created from start to finish. Quashona Renee opened the show. After her was Shelby Ragazzo. Caleb de Casper sang third, and then Mike Moseley. After Mike Moseley was Nathan Riddle, then Emma Stoneberg. Cole McDonnell then closed out the show and afterwards all the seniors came out for a final bow.

This year marks the 12th year of the Popular Music Program at Catawba College.
